Feeling lost in your late teens and early twenties is normal.

What a wild time to figure out. This is the time of so many questions and not so many answers. It’s a moment in time when feeling worried about almost everything and feeling the pressure of life on your shoulders is common place. The “not good enough” narrative is alive and well and its hard to know how to get to a place of peace.

Many of my clients are not only navigating the “who am I” questions, but they are also confronting their past in a big way. Maybe the way you were raised makes it difficult to trust others or feel comfortable in your own skin. Maybe feelings of heaviness and fear have crept up on you out of nowhere. Perhaps certain situations like social gatherings and dating can bring up feelings of fear, anxiety, and even uncomfortable memories. You may be feeling lost now, but you are not alone.

Painful memories and fears are things that can feel as though they are haunting us and may be holding us back from living to our fullest potential. I use a trauma informed approach to help you heal from your past experiences that make it difficult to trust and connect with yourself and others. My approach is collaborative and real, offering many different ways to connect and feel comfortable. I know beginning therapy can be pretty uncomfortable and scary. If you are nervous to begin therapy, bringing therapy outdoors can make therapy more approachable and can make sessions feel as though we are just walking and talking.

Whichever approach you need I will meet you where you are and work with you to getting back to what lights you up and makes you feel like yourself again.
